WHAT IS GRANITE?

Granite is a magnificent intrusive grained igneous rock that is crystallized from the cooling of molten rock within the crust. Magmas that have a composition of quartz, feldspar, micas, amphiboles and a mixture of other trace minerals have formed different kinds of granite rocks.

For thousands of years granite has been regarded as a symbol of durability, strength and status. It is a common type of rock used in everything from sculptures to buildings (countertop, stairs etc.). Its qualities make it a preferred material both for indoor and outdoor projects.

Color:

Granite colors are most commonly black, white, variations of grey and pink. Infect Granite typically contains 20-60% quartz, 10-65% feldspar, and 5-15% micas (biotite or muscovite). So, the variation, alteration, and abundance of different minerals give granite numerous colors and textures.
